To start the mission, you must first talk to Larinna outside the Tavern. When the dialog options pop up, you must select the [BEGIN ADVENTURE] option at the bottom.

Thus begins the adventure A Dark Deception. Then Larinna gives you a scroll with the location you need to go to.

Parchment tells you to go to the small island at N-13. To get there, you must first go to the Map section of your ship.

Then open the Map on your ship and mark the intersection of the N and 13.

When you arrive on this small island you will see a Pirate Lord on the island. After talking to him you will get a book and it will show you where to go next.

First, you need to go to Plunder Outpost and get the Pocketwatch from Madame Olivia.

In Plunder Outpost, you will find Madame Olivia in the Order of Souls tent. She is the person you should get the Pocketwatch from, but she will not want to give it to you.

This means you’ll have to steal Pocketwatch from her in order to complete A Dark Deception Adventure. To do this, go to the back of the Tavern. There are two doors and you can interact with one of them.

Knock on the door you can interact with and then a mouse will come out from under the door and go to Madame Olivia’s tent.

Follow the mouse to Madame Olivia’s tent. When the mouse enters the tent she will be distracted and you must steal the Pocketwatch from the table.

Then the book tells you to go to Shipwreck Bay and get a piece of the Figurehead from the shipwreck there.

When you get there you have to get to the front of the shipwreck, but you can only do this by launching yourself from the Cannon on your ship.

After reaching the wreckage, head towards the front of the ship and go down the ladder to get the Figurehead Fragment. You can tell that you have received the fragment by the Figurehead Fragment Received notification at the bottom of the screen.

Your next destination is the Order of Souls tent in Sanctuary Outpost. Here you should talk to Madame Olive. Then Madame Olive will craft us a magical Compass.

Port Merrick is the last location you need to visit to complete the Dark Deception quest.

The Compass in your hand will show you where to go next. Enter the Tavern and immediately turn to your right and you will see a mouse on the floor. Interact with this mouse and start following it. Your Compass only showed you the first location of the mouse, you don’t have to use it anymore.

The mouse will take you to the basement of the Tavern. Immediately after you reach the Basement, turn left, go out the door, and turn right again. You will see a mouse nest in the right corner of the wall.

Then interact with this mouse nest and you will open a secret passage. Once you enter this secret location, Sea of Thieves A Dark Deception Adventure is complete.
